ORDER: Plaintiff's application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis [3] is denied without prejudice. If she wants to proceed with this case, Plaintiff must, by February 28, 2023, either (1) pre-pay the $402.00 filing fee or (2) submit a properly completed in forma pauperis application as set forth in this order. Plaintiff's motion for attorney representation [4] is denied without prejudice. Signed by the Honorable Mary M. Rowland on 2/6/2023. Mailed notice.

ORDER: By order of Feb. 6, 2023, the Court directed Plaintiff to either pre-pay the $402.00 filing fee or submit a properly completed in forma pauperis application if she wanted to proceed with this case. Returned mail on the docket [9] indicates that Plaintiff did not timely receive this order and that it was re-sent to her on Feb. 21, 2023. The Court therefore extends the deadline for compliance with the Feb. 6, 2023, order, to April 7, 2023. Failure to satisfy the filing-fee requirements by that date will result in summary dismissal of this case. The Clerk is directed to send a copy of this Order to Plaintiff. Signed by the Honorable Mary M. Rowland on 3/3/2023. Mailed notice.

ORDER Plaintiff has submitted a letter stating that she is in Cook County Jail on a court writ and does not have her paperwork from Pontiac Correctional Center to proceed with this civil case [11]. She requests a three-month continuance. By order of Feb. 6, 2023, the Court directed Plaintiff to either pre-pay the $402.00 filing fee or submit a properly completed in forma pauperis application if she wanted to proceed with this case. The deadline to comply was later extended to April 7, 2023, due to returned mail on the docket that indicated Plaintiff had not received that order. The Court will give Plaintiff a further extension to May 19, 2023, but if she is unable to comply by that date, she must demonstrate efforts to obtain the information specified in the Feb. 6, 2023, order. The Clerk is directed to: (1) change Plaintiff's name on the docket to match the caption of this order to ensure that she receives her institutional mail; and (2) send Plaintiff a copy of this order, as well as the Court's prior orders in this case [8] [10] and a blank application for leave to proceed in forma pauperis (prisoner version) at the Cook County Jail under inmate number 2023-0210147 and at her address as reflected on the docket. Signed by the Honorable Mary M. Rowland on 3/21/2023: Mailed notice (jk2,)

ORDER : By order of March 21, 2023, the Court extended the time for Plaintiff to comply with the filing-fee requirements to May 19, 2023. The Court advised Plaintiff that if she was unable to either pre-pay the $402.00 filing fee or submit a properly completed in forma pauperis application by that date, she was required to demonstrate her efforts to comply. To date, Plaintiff has neither complied with the filing-fee requirements nor explained her failure to comply. The Court therefore dismisses this case without prejudice. See LR 3.3(f) (dismissal of case for failure to pay filing fee is allowable sanction); see also Dietz v. Bouldin, 579 U.S. 40, 47 (2016) ("district courts have the inherent authority to manage their dockets and courtrooms with a view toward the efficient and expedient resolution of cases"); Anderson v. Williamson, 748 F. App'x. 710, 711 (7th Cir. 2019) (unpublished) (dismissal without prejudice is appropriate disposition where plaintiff fails to satisfy the filing-fee requirements). The Clerk is directed to enter final judgment and to send a copy of this order to Plaintiff at the Cook County Jail under inmate number 2023-0210147 and at her address as reflected on the docket. Signed by the Honorable Mary M. Rowland on 7/5/2023. Civil case terminated. Mailed notice.
